2011 Prairie Village Jazz Festival

Last night I went to the first committee meeting for the 2011 Jazz Festival. It was good to get together with the people. I brought food for a new food vendor this year. It went over fairly well, Dan and I are going to the restaurant next Tuesday to approach a contract. This place is so upscale. It is called RA Sushi. I took four different types that we could have at the festival. It was so good, veggie roll, veggie tempura, avocado roll, and a lobster spring roll. The sauces were good and they had a different type of soy sauce, it was sweet. I will have to find out what they did to it. I am thinking Jazz, wine and sushi. Sounds like a great treat to me.

Decluttering

As I had mentioned before I have read "Live with Intention" for my class of "One Little Word" mine being evolve. And to do this is to declutter my life. So I have been going through things and throwing out, found some things I had stuck away, and remembering some of the events that went with the article. One the house is getting cleaner, another item I have wanted to accomplish. The word has been working for me since the first of the year. I am only hoping that it continues. By decluttering, one get rid of things that hold you back, by getting rid of it you make room for growth, new events, people and what you really want to happen in your life. I have been making great head way.

Live with Intention

I am nearly finished with "Live with Intention" by Mary Anne Radmacher. Wow! What a positive and motivational book. The purpose of reading it has been to help with the class I am taking from Ali Edwards' "One Little Word." click on number 4 in the big window picture. My word is "evolve." I hope by decluttering that I can evolve and bring many outlets to my life that will lead to success and prosperity. This book really hit home.The topics of the book cover Completion, walk to the edge; Spirit, Listen hard; Health, practice wellness; Play, play with abandon; Gratitude, Laugh; Forgiveness, choose with no regret; Enthusiasm, continue to learn; Relationships, appreciate your friends; Dream, do what you love; Generosity, live as if this is all there is. If you want a quick and wonderful book to read, this is the book to read.

I Have Been Taking Some Time Off

I have been taking some time off to finish projects started, and to read some books, and reflect on the past year. I have had a bad cold that is slowly going away. So the time has been good to finish projects.

What have been working on is a new coat jacket, still in the process, I have been reading "Live with Intention" by Mary Anne Rachmacher. It has some insight that I am using for one little word. It is a class I am taking at Big Picture Classes taught by Ali Edwards which continues each month with a new prompt.

I have been reading Ali's blog since 2005 and she has had this concept on a word that defines what you want your year to be, and seeing the changes that has happened in her life with the word motivated me for two years, but this class extends the concept to a more define level. So after long debate, my word for this year is Evolve. It captures change, declutter, intention, to move forward. I am want change to happen in a positive way. I am going to take some risks this year and hope the outcome proves to be rewarding. So here are picture of my notebook on Evolve.

Completed December Daily

Welcome to 2011. Wishing you a happier and prosperous year. Today, I finally finished the December Daily. It has been a challenge to get the pictures taken, journal and pages printed, then to upload to the blog. But it has been fun and next year it will be rewarding to see what happened this year.
