I live in the Kansas City area and this summer has been the hottest and driest I have ever experienced. The crops are non-existent, they have dried up. Cracks in the ground are 2 inches wide, and if you look down you think you might see China. The heat is so bad that the TV freezes the pixulated picture, so one gets so frustrated that you turn it off.
So what is one to do. Well I have been doing some sewing and catching up on projects. I am currently making a Vogue 8813 dress and it turned out to be a challenge. The pockets have come off and now I am taking it in, because it just hangs on me. Working to give the dress some shape. I think it will turn out OK but, it now has become a completely a new design. No picture of the finished project. Will at a later date.
I am looking forward to the movie "Hope Spring" with Merryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones. I looks like it will be a fun movie. What we need some FUN!
